April 11,12:30 pm to 3:20 pm April 12, 6:00 pm Presenting 16 exceptional and inspiring animated shorts from around the world. At a time of increasing social instability and global anxiety about a range of issues, the works in this year’s show have a special resonance, presenting compelling ideas about our place in society. 12:00pm [12:30pm] Community Passover Seder
If you would like to try some delicious cuisine and/or a new experience, please join us for our Annual MCC Community Passover Seder luncheon. MCC has been hosting this event for over 20 years and we welcome everyone interested in or curious about the Jewish Passover Holiday to join us in our celebration of freedom and community. It will be held on April 12, 2019 from 12:30-3:30 pm in the Culinary Arts Center at Manchester Community College. The menu includes-Whitefish Salad, Matzoh Ball Soup, Chicken and Chickpea Tagine with Apricots, Olive oil Mashed Potatoes with Herbs, Roasted Asparagus, Chocolate Macaroon Cake, Coffee and Tea (Yum!!). All are welcome, so bring your curiosity and your appetite, and help celebrate diversity at MCC! Reservations are required. Suggested donation amount is $12 to the MCC Foundation (to help support future Seders). 5:00pm [5:00pm] Manchester Art Association Town Hall Art Reception
The annual “All Members/All Mediums Exhibit” of the Manchester Art Association is on display at Manchester Town Hall from March 7 to June 6. The theme for this show is “Where the Heart Is”, which can relate to the artist’s hometown or something that is dear to their heart. A free reception with finger food and open to the public will be held on Friday, April 12 from 5 to 7 P.M. There are works of art from 37 artists in different media including pastel, watercolor, acrylic, photography, pen and ink, stained glass and quilling, mixed media and oil.
