The annual collection date postcard (printed on yellow cardstock paper and sent via U.S. Mail first class every spring), is scheduled to be mailed out every year in March. Description:
Do you find yourself browsing through the cookbook section of your favorite library or bookstore? Do you like tasting new things and enjoy discussing them with others? Then we have just the program for you. Come to one of our “Recipe Readers ” events. This club will meet monthly on Saturday afternoons from 12:30 to 2:30. Each month a theme, author or cookbook will be chosen. Participants are asked to pick one recipe from the book(s) and come to the program with dish in hand on the date posted ready to discuss their experience. Dishes should arrive fully prepared and ready to share. This month theme/books choices are: Bobby Flay Fit: 200 recipes for a healthy lifestyle by Bobby Flay with Stephanie Banyas and Sally Jackson. Pride Weel Begins! Concert in the Park SATURDAY, JUNE 1 - SUNDAY, JUNE 9, 2019 FREE family-friendly events and activities all week long! Bring a blanket and picnic, and of course your friends. Food available for purchase. The park is located in Downtown Manchester (behind Mary Cheney Library, 586 Main Street). Pride blankets will be sold that night as well, $20, cash or check only.During intermission, the Pride committee will announce this year’s Hometown Heroes. Plenty of free parking behind Town Hall and in the Municipal lot on Pearl Street, as well as side streets. Concert starting at 6:30 p.m.featuring:Soul Sound Revue, by far the hottest nine piece Motown show this side of Detriot, performs the greatest hits in the true “Motown Tradition”. Soul Sound Revue recreates the dynamic vocal harmonies and stylings of classic Motown groups of the sixties, seventies, and eighties: The Four Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, and many more. With all its flash and finery, reminiscent of a time when a band’s looks were as important as their sound, Soul Sound Revue’s three lead vocalists explode onto the stage backed by a power house rhythm and horn section!Audiences of all ages will “groove” through the sixties and “boogie” through the seventies with Soul Sound Revue.
