Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Community Workshops
[Registration Open] The Town of Manchester is offering a three-part community workshop series on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The series is designed to build a foundation for on-going learning related to diversity, race, bias, equity, and social justice. Topics include: Equity 101, Everyday Anti-Racism, and How to Have Conversations About Race, Bias, & Equity. Workshops occur March through June, with four opportunities to attend each topic. Weekday sessions are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening. A condensed two-session Saturday morning session is also available. Space is limited. Register early to secure a seat. A referendum will be held June 4, 2019 on proposed renovations and expansions at Buckley, Bowers and Keeney. 6:00pm [6:00pm] Pride: Senior Dance
Senior Dance Free Line Dance Party, Tues. June 4 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 549 East Middle Turnpike. No experience needed and you do not need to bring a partner -- all welcome! Refreshments and door prizes. Admission is free but tickets are required to be eligible for door prizes. Tickets are now available at the Senior Center and at the Town Hall Customer Service & Information Center at 41 Center Street. Young people are encouraged to attend and learn dance steps. Enjoy the fun of music, dance, and socializing!

[6:30pm] Connecticut Wildlife Series
The Whiton Branch of the Manchester Public Library will host a series of Connecticut wildlife programs on various dates in June 2019. The Master Wildlife Conservationist Program through the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection trains adult volunteers in the fields of wildlife management, natural history, and interpretation.
