June 25 - August 20, 2019 3:30pm - Whiton Branch Library,100 North Main St 6:30pm - Mary Cheney Library,586 Main St June 25th - Keith Michael Johnson will show us the secret world of bubbles in this enchanting show! July 2nd - Sciencetellers Present Aliens: Escape from Earth. Throughout an intergalactic story, volunteers from the audience will get to discover the unbelievable world of science through experiments with chemical reactions, inertia, polymers and so much more. Don’t miss this action-packed and educational alien adventure. It’s totally out of this world! July 9th - Steve Corning Variety Show Dubbed as 'The Human Variety Show,' Showtime Steve is a one-of-a-kind variety performer, harnessing his signature off-the-cuff comedy and show stopping stunts to create a high-energy show! July 16th - Learn about hip hop dance with breakdancer Tiger at this interactive program! He will perform and also teach some basic hip hop moves. Tiger made it to the top 40 on the show 'So You Think You Can Dance.' July 23rd - Rolie Polie Guacamole Join this award-winning 'kindie' band from Brooklyn, NY for a high energy, interactive show that’s a mix of funk, rock and folk music mashed into original tunes about natural living, eating healthy and staying active! July 30th - Magic by Scott Jameson See the show audiences are calling 'superb' and 'heartwarming fun for the whole family.' Join magician and juggler Scott Jameson for an extraordinary performance that will have you laughing out loud and perched on the edge of your seat. August 6th - A mesmerizing performance from Eric Girardi of over ten object manipulation skills choreographed to diverse music that will leave the audience smiling and in awe. Featuring world-class yo-yoing, top spinning, traditional juggling, contact juggling and more…the audience won’t be able to guess what comes next. August 13th - Didgeridoo Down Under Didgeridoo Down Under is a high-energy, Australia-themed show that combines music, culture, science, character building and audience participation. August 20th - Bryson Lang The Cure for the Common Show Bryson Lang has entertained thousands around the world with his creative, high-energy, family-friendly comedy-juggling act! Join us for time to chat and learn with other moms, a hot breakfast with coffee and safe and fun childcare for your little ones. Motherhood is hard, but you don't have to do it alone. Find community at MOPs! Meetings are held at Trinity Covenant Church (302 Hackmatack St) from 9-11:30 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

REC ON THE RUN is our mobile pop-up creative arts, sports and games vehicle which offers recreation programs and activities across Manchester. The Rec on the Run vehicle and its engaging staff bring recreation and much more to neighborhoods and parks around our community The REC ON THE RUN vehicle can be found across our community during the week and at various special community events July through August. REC ON THE RUN will visit the many locations once per week; Northwest Park, Marcy MacDonald Pool, Spruce Street Market Nights & Waddell Pool. [6:30pm] The Sun, the Moon, and the Planets
Description:
The Whiton Branch of the Manchester Public Library will host “The Sun, the Moon, and the Planets” a musical history journey for adults, presented by Jeffrey Engel on Tuesday July 23rd, 2019 at 6:30PM. “The Sun, The Moon, and The Planets” will offer music inspired by outer space. Gustav Holst wrote the best-known work, but there are a number of other composers who were equally fascinated by heavenly bodies. Jeffrey Engel will reveal who those composers were and will play excerpts from their extraterrestrial oeuvres.
