Library Presentation: The Sinking of the Lusitania

Description: "15 Minutes to Live: the sinking of the Lusitania" presented by Jason Scappaticci. Monday, April 16, 2018, 6:30pm at the Whiton Auditorium, 100 North Main Street. On May 7, 1915, less than a year after World War I (1914-18) erupted across Europe, a German U-boat torpedoed and sank the RMS Lusitania, 
a British ocean liner en route from New York to Liverpool, England. 
Of the more than 1,900 passengers and crew members on board, 
more than 1,100 perished, including more than 120 Americans. 
Jason Scappaticci is a Manchester resident and Director of New Students and First Year programs at Manchester Community College. He is currently serving in his second term on the Manchester Board of Education. This is a free event and no registration is required.
