Rotary Music Garden Party

Description: Rotary Music Garden Party & Festival of Art, at the Rotary Music Garden at Charter Oak Park, Manchester
Saturday June 23rd from 9 am to Noon. This is a free event - for all ages. You are invited to Play an instrument in the music garden; Draw or Paint with artists Diane McDonald and Mary Bollash from the Manchester Art Association; Dance to live and DJ music (from Into the Groove); See/Hear performances by local musicians including percussionist Lance Kamau James, the town troubadour Bill Ludwig, and the Manchester Cello Ensemble, a collaboration with Manchester High School and the Manchester Symphony Orchestra & Chorale; Watch Theatre in the Park; and buy an ice cream to enjoy. Bring your kids, family, and friends! Rain date is Sunday 6/24.

PERCUSSIONISTS/MUSICIANS: At Noon, Percussionist Performer Lance Kamau James will set up a drum circle and you are invited to participate. Bring your percussion instruments and Lance will bring a couple of extra drums.

This event has been planned by representatives of several community organizations: The Rotary Club of Manchester, The Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, The Manchester Public Schools Music Department, Cheney Hall/Little Theatre of Manchester, Manchester Arts Commission, and ECHN.
