National Public Health Week

Description: April 1 through April 7 is National Public Health Week. The National Public Health Week theme for this year is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: For Science, For Action, For Health.” The Manchester Health Department plays a crucial role in laying the foundation for good health and improved longevity in our community. We realize that change can only happen if we make healthy choices as a society. This means improving everything that impacts health — from housing, education and income to community design, transportation and our environment. Working together, as a community, we can help change the course of health in our town. Please stop by the Town Hall Lobby during this week to obtain information on many different health topics. There will be a wide array of information available including but not limited to: ways to decrease your exposure to mosquitos, safe lead practices, adult vaccination, public health emergency preparedness and much more.
