Manned Space Travel

Description: The Whiton Branch Library of the Manchester Public Library will host 'Manned Space Travel', presented by Tom Stapleton.

Stapleton will illuminate us on what the United States has done to put humans on the moon, building and manning the ISS and discussing the current Lockheed Martin Orion Capsule and NASA’s plan to build a Lunar Space Station and humanity’s eventualjourney to Mars.

Tom Stapleton spent 30 years developing life support equipment for astronauts on the EMU Space Suit, the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station (ISS) and the Orion Capsule while working at UTC Collins Aerospace. He has received eight patents for his work along with many awards complimenting his efforts.
