Imagine Main Street Arts and Cultural Festivals

Description: Downtown Manchester will celebrate the arts and also the many non-profit organizations in the community on Thursday, August 3rd.

A wide variety of artists, exhibitors, vendors and interactive arts will be available from Birch Street to School Street including newcomers Modern Melly, Elizabeth's Ark, Honey Bunch Faces and Bill Dougan Caricatures. Musicians including recording artist Bill Benson, 41 Prospect, Ryan Ford and Alex Forest will entertain at various locations.

A beer tasting by Burnside Brewery inside Pinewood Furniture, and a British cream tea by The Tea Round will be held inside MCC on Main, to round out the night for those looking for 'edible art', along with Jeff's Kettlecorn and AJ's hot dogs.

Anne Cubberly's wonderful 'Mother Earth' will visit patrons throughout the evening.

Non-profits joining the festivities include Nutmeg Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Little Theatre of Manchester, Silk City Barbershop, Wit and Wisdom Club, Independence Unlimited, Uniting for a Safe Inclusive Community, NAMI Manchester and Boy Scout Troup 123.

Participating in the British tea requires reservations as there are limited seating times. Call 860-787-5286 for more information.

Imagine Main Street is a free community activity produced by volunteers, and information about specific locations will be available at various downtown Manchester locations the week prior to the event.
