Manchester Historical Society Hosts History Garden Open House

Description: History Garden Open House will be presented at the Cheney Homestead. We’ll create a crib for the growing 'potato tower' in the garden and make a scarecrow to protect the ripening corn. Learn about Early American gardening and try your hand at weaving with artisans from the Hartford Artisans Weaving Center.

Free; donations accepted for the upkeep of the Homestead. This 1785 house museum is open the second Sunday of the month. Info about local history: www.manchesterhistory.org
